Manhattan Water Damage Restoration
It does not take much moisture finding its way behind wallpaper, paint and/or drywall to wreak havoc with a nice, interior wall. And while the water just silently wiggles its way between layers to cause damage, the restoration is a multi-step process. This lovely, wallpaper and its wall were falling apart when we stepped in to make it like new again.
Once we removed the failing wallpaper, plaster and compromised drywall and let everything dry out naturally, we measured (twice, by the way) and installed new drywall. After plastering that and priming the white wall, we set up for the wallpaper replacement. Given the intricate vine design, it takes a keen eye and steady hand to slice the wallpaper precisely where it will line up seamlessly with its neighboring piece. Now, no one knows there was ever a problem here, except us and the homeowners who had the good sense to call us. And now you know, if you’re reading this blog post.
