It may appear that choosing a door is an open-and-shut kind of exercise, but it is more complicated. The selection is vast, and each door provides privacy and separation from other spaces in the home, as well as offering an aesthetic component to the overall interior décor. This client had mismatched doors in an outdated style, and it was high time for something new.

Panel doors are timeless for an attractive choice, and solid core are the best for quality in construction and sound reduction. White keeps things crisp and clean, and new door knobs are practically required on new doors. We worked as a team with the client on selecting and sourcing the doors. Then, we took over, picking them up from Dyke’s Lumber, making any custom cuts to fit and installing them, along with the new door hardware. Hanging a door is an intricate kind of work, especially for it being level and swinging both ways correctly while clearing the floor at the proper distance, snugly closing on all sides. Sliding doors require just as much attention to details while installing. The photos illustrate the classy final result, and now it is an open-and-shut kind of exercise.
