Cabinet Painters in Brooklyn

Alison Jennison’s passion and skills for creating beautiful spaces is evident in this stunning kitchen remodel in Greenpoint. With decades of experience, she launched her own business eight years ago in New York City. Alison expertly blends texture, color and style with impeccable taste. http://www.ajennison.com/.

We were thrilled to be involved with our professional cabinet refinishing experience and techniques to apply Benjamin Moore’s California Redwood. A satin paint was selected for its subtle sheen and easy-to-clean characteristics. The kitchen evokes all the contemporary vibes of a modern space while embracing rural elements in the farmhouse sink, earthy redwood color cabinets and natural wood shelving and island counter top. It is one of the warmest, most inviting kitchens to which we have had the privilege of contributing.

Cabinet Painters in Williamsburg

While Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia presents the largest living history museum portraying 18th century American life, the Williamsburg neighborhood in Brooklyn embraces everything of 21st century life for shopping, entertainment, dining and living in the Big Apple. Like its Virginia counterpart, several buildings are vintage, but the NYC version radiates creative vitality and contemporary vibes.

It is in this energetic environment that we were called to fix up some dented cabinets and apply a new surface, plus paint the kitchen walls and ceiling. The client had contracted for handsome new flooring, and the old cabinets were a dismal, dull, dated, uneven wood tone. We patched and smoothed out the surfaces before painting two tones of refined gray that transforms this kitchen to a stylish heart of the home.

Inwood Kitchen Remodel

The Hudson and Harlem rivers border much of Inwood, enveloping the neighborhood like arms of a benevolent giant. Parks and river views are abundant at this northern tip of Manhattan, a comfortable 30-35 minute commute back into Midtown. It was in this enchanting setting that we remodeled a kitchen, elevating it from dark to light, old to new, dated to contemporary. Cabinet painting is but one of our many specialties. We replaced the counters and lowered the bar counter for a one-level countertop as well.

The walls and edge under the bar counter needed drywall and all new plaster to render it smooth and ready for soft sage green paint. The cupboards are now creamy white, and the homeowner asked us to remove one cabinet and install floating shelves. We did it. We work diligently and intently, looking from all angles, using leveling tools, anchors, metal framing corners, fresh plaster and the best primer and paints. The end results glowed for being newly rejuvenated.

Where it all began, kind of dark, dated and dingy, huh?

Gowanus Cabinet Painting Contractor

The kitchen really is the heart of the home, not only for food and beverages, but also for info exchange, notes, reminders, kid’s drawings and all kinds of communication. This Brooklyn space was definitely outdated with dark cupboards and round knobs alongside darker – black – appliances. And, the stainless steel appliances were not showcased the way they are with the changes.

Our team removed the old, dark backsplash, patched the wall and installed a very cool new penny tile backsplash pattern. The cabinet doors were taken off-site for expert refinishing in our dedicated spray paint studio. We expertly resurfaced the upper cupboard doors with Farrow & Ball’s Oxford Stone. The lower cabinets took on Farrow & Ball’s Tanner’s Brown. With sleek, new hardware handles, the transformation is stunning. It exudes a contemporary aura and like all kitchen renovations, adds measurable value to the property and immeasurable value to the daily experience living here.

AFTER - contemporary sophistication

AFTER - contemporary sophistication

If small spaces could talk, they might just ask for light and bright colors every time. Removing black counters and installing white ones is an instant gratification kind of project. The white surfaces reflect light and add a contemporary brand of sophistication. This forward-thinking client understood that new cabinet paint would raise the bar on this kitchen for style and glamour.

The Hale Navy color from Benjamin Moore’s Historic Colors Collection is a deeply saturated shade of blue in a satin finish that hearkens to the sea. It also delivers on warmth, harmony and loyalty. Cabinet resurfacing is one of the best, most economical ways to spruce up any kitchen, and we excel with copious experience and an incredible team of professional painters. New brushed nickel hardware in a more streamlined, modern shape adds to the glam factor. The very cool industrial pendants lights look a little more relevant in this newly rejuvenated heart of the home.
