Manhattan Workplace Painting Contractor

Multiple studies on work place environments all point to increased job productivity, satisfaction and performance in a clean, bright space. Additionally, attractive office surroundings can be a positive influence factor in reducing turnover. This new tech start-up company in Manhattan values its employees and strives to provide a pleasant, sleek, modern workplace with abundant natural daylight.

A huge part of any project, especially painting and maybe even moreso spray painting, is preparation. Activating the nozzle and being experienced in operating the equipment is imperative, but frequently protecting the surrounding spaces is equally essential.

And we work in many large spaces, like this one. The volume of plastic, brown masking paper and tape can be considerable. Once we covered floors, windows and anything which was not to be painted, we expertly applied jet black paint to the ceilings and ductwork. It matches their corporate branding and interior furnishings.

Then we painted the walls all white to provide maximum natural light reflection and the perfect contemporary contrast. We are professional painters, wallpaper hangers and interior construction contractors on the move, but if we were office operatives, we’d like to work here. Union Square is a very cool neighborhood, and Union Square Greenmarket is an awesome farmer’s market open year round. From milk, eggs and maple syrup to beef, pork, chicken, farm fresh produce and more, the market is a fantastic place to support small scale farming and the regional farmers who bring fresh food to market, for all of us.

Of all the perks and bennies a company may offer its staff, a neat, clean, freshly painted, bright work space practically tops the charts. Study after study reveals that employees enjoy enhanced concentration and productivity in comfortable work quarters. The company which contacted us was moving its offices to another address and wanted it to be really nice for the move-in. The timing was short. The need was now. The job was big - like eight conference rooms plus office space.

It was a tight squeeze on the clock, but we pulled together the team, and they pulled together the gear, supplies, equipment, paints, ladders, brushes, rollers, drop cloths and more. In reality, we fit right in as the Flatiron District is a commercial version of life in the fast lane. Anchored by Union Square and known for its food, art, drink and the original Shake Shack, Flatiron does not slow down much even on weekends. It emits an energetic vibe and a zest for work life and home life among its high rises, parks and diversified activities and performances.

Start-up Venture Needs Fresh Start

Any start-up venture is exciting, challenging, frustrating, demanding and stimulating all at once. Budding or seasoned entrepreneurs need a nice, bright, freshly painted space to plan, work and brainstorm. Being an entrepreneurial business ourselves, Paintworks & Decorating knows well that the damaged, dingy, smudged interior we encountered very much needed a lift before they arrived. We set about plastering holes and repairing damaged places, then professionally applied fresh coats of white paint all in one day for the large office. We have all the right licenses and insurance in place to paint any office in Manhattan, and this new company begins defining and realizing its goals in a clean, calm office space.

Financial District Interior Painting

Research has shown that attractive, well-organized office environments are more likely to promote healthy, productive, satisfied employees. We don't really need many studies to know that dust, dirt and errant air particles on computers and keyboards are not especially conducive to their functioning at peak performance. Leaning heavily on these tidbits of research and knowledge, the Paintworks crew went to this expansive Manhattan tech firm office to transform their ceilings, trim and walls into a smooth, clean, freshly painted interior with a specially formulated high traffic paint. The first order of business was smothering the desks, computers, chairs and workstations in impermeable plastic, then covering the floor as well. We toted in paint cans, ladders, buckets, stir sticks, long handled rollers, brushes, breathing masks and more.

We don't know if the staff got an unexpected vacation to a tropical island, worked from home or set up laptops at Blue Bottle Coffee, Cafe Grumpy or Birch Coffee. Maybe they hung out at LaPetite Cave or City Acres Market while we worked. And work we did. Our marching orders included painting the ceilings, all the walls, the trim and spaces between windows and above window sills - kind of everywhere that paint was appropriate. It's the kind of job where we break a sweat, keep everything safe and protected and depart with all our stuff and that satisfied feeling of our own for a job well done.
