Painting the Girl Scouts Retail Store

For more than 100 years, the Girl Scouts have been inspiring girls to advance skills and reach for the stars. Their cookies are an American icon, and their NYC store carries sashes, uniforms, clothing, fun badges and all kinds of cool merchandise. So not to interrupt any business hours, our Paintworks crew worked overnight scraping and plastering damaged walls and refreshing white walls which had become scuffed and dirty. Sherwin-Williams has mixed custom colors specifically for the Girl Scouts, and we applied those as instructed. All the merchandise, shelving and displays had been protected by us, and it was business as usual the next morning in a wonderful, clean, freshly painted store.

Painting an Office Conference Room in Park Slope

A conference room can be a soothingly safe space for conversation, an energetic brainstorming territory or anything in between, so it needs to be neutral and refreshing. After moving and protecting the floor and furnishings in this one, we expertly applied Benjamin Moore's Chantilly Lace paint on the walls. It's a clean cool white as refined as the lace it is named for. It reflects light and produces a brightness in the room where lots of thinking, talking and analysis may occur. Contrasting with the wood ceiling and dark flooring, this comfortable white with blue undertones lends a warmth to the space that can keep the creative juices flowing and the mind's focus on issues at hand. At least, that's the plan for this great customer in the casual Park Slope area. We even worked on the weekend, so no one was disrupted during the business week.

NYC After Hours Commercial Painting

Merchandise in any store is enticing, but equally important to attract customers is the condition of the interior, cleanliness and attention to detail. The first Ann Taylor shop opened in 1954, and today's brands - Ann Taylor, LOFT and Lou & Grey - have a presence in all 50 states. According to anntaylor.com, "we get that a woman expresses herself through what she wears – at work, at home and at play." Along the way, these shop interiors need updating, and that's where Paintworks & Decorating stepped in, after hours, to remove wallpaper, prep and prime walls and then paint. We got the call mid-afternoon and arrived ready to work at 7 p.m. when the store closed. It was evening and night work which makes us come to mind almost anytime a New York City shop needs sprucing up inside, water damage repair, floors refinished or simply new, fresh, clean coats of paint. Among styles that Ann Taylor indicates are trending now are animal prints, faux suede, wine and navy. In the paint contracting arena, Paintworks & Decorating is always trending. The store manager was impressed. The employees did not lose any hours. The customers were not at all inconvenienced. This Ann Taylor store looks a little more sharp with its merchandise surrounded by smooth, sleek, freshly painted walls.
