Property Management Painters in Sutton Place

Property management companies go right into action between tenants. It’s the perfect time for repairs, updates, painting and refurbishing appliances, in this case a stove. To accommodate this new stove, a licensed electrician needed to bore holes into the walls and install or upgrade the necessary wiring to meet code. Then guess what happens? The electrician packs up the tools, heads out the door and sends a bill for services rendered.

Our crew rolls in next to fill and spackle the holes, sand them, re-plaster as necessary, smooth again, and finally apply fresh paint to make things look seamless once again. Paint products for kitchens and baths, given the level of moisture in those spaces, are specially formulated. Here we used one of those sophisticated kitchen and bath paints in a warm, creamy Navaho White, the perfect contrast to the black counters. Modern and sleek, we think.

NYC Millwork Painter

New owners of a luxury penthouse in Midtown East Manhattan recognized and appreciated the quality elements in wood paneling and wood floors, but envisioned a lighter, brighter home without wallpaper, medium wood tones on the walls and bookcases and dark wood floors. Thus, we stepped in to remove wallpaper, patch walls, sand, sand and sand some more before spray painting the fine millwork and refinishing the floors. We primed this gorgeous woodwork with many coats, sanding in between for the most smooth, lustrous finish.

Farrow & Ball is a British manufacturer of fine paints which reflect historic color palettes, or in their version of English, “colour” palettes. Their New White paint is named for it being more warm than classic whites for its yellow base. It can take on creamy, chamois, ivory and sheep’s wool tones, reflecting light and creating an alluring interior environment. Spray painting such a luxury residence is not for the faint of heart or inexperienced paint contractor. The desired result comes only from extensive involvement in superior painting projects with the best equipment and most highly skilled tradesmen. Refinishing the floors to a lighter wood also revitalized the interior atmosphere. This is now a more striking 21st century penthouse where light plays off the walls, and an unrivaled warmth envelops the new residents.

NYC Fire Escape Repairs

Fire escapes are for … [drum roll] … escaping fires. The New York City Department of Housing Preservation & Development works diligently with the New York City Fire Department, the largest municipal fire department in the U.S. and second largest in the world behind Tokyo, to routinely inspect fire escapes. Their attention to details on the condition of fire escapes all over the city contributes to their optimum function and performance in the case of a fire on an upper floor.

The Paintworks staff is acutely aware of fire escape requirements and the Certification of Correction and was once again called in to bring one up to code. We did some spot welding and repair work like reattaching a rung to a ladder. Missing a step on a fire escape when one is moving down in a hurry with fear and adrenaline flowing may not end well. Then we ground and scraped off rust, primed everything and painted with special industrial quality finish coats to match the color of the first floor awning. The building’s management team was satisfied with a job well done, as well as the municipal powers who tirelessly oversee these things to protect all of us.

Midtown Manhattan Luxury Condo Painting Contractor

Relocating from the Sunshine State to the Big Apple carries enough excitement and emotion without moving into a somewhat outdated luxury condo in midtown Manhattan. This brown entertainment cabinet wall with wonderful storage behind the doors was definitely on the list of archaic things to change. We removed the cupboard doors from the wall and took them off-site to our specially-designed, spray-painting facility. There, we removed all the hardware, and patched the holes never to be noticed again.

We selected Benjamin Moore’s Insul-x Cabinet Coat for its ultra-smooth, factory-like finish. Additionally, the product adheres perfectly to surfaces without a primer. It comes in a satin or semi-gloss finish, and we love its durability, quality and overall attractive appearance. New sleek hardware is barely visible and lends a chic contemporary feel to the whole room. The family added some color for fresh vibes in other places transforming their new condo into their own cozy home.

Painting the Girl Scouts Retail Store

For more than 100 years, the Girl Scouts have been inspiring girls to advance skills and reach for the stars. Their cookies are an American icon, and their NYC store carries sashes, uniforms, clothing, fun badges and all kinds of cool merchandise. So not to interrupt any business hours, our Paintworks crew worked overnight scraping and plastering damaged walls and refreshing white walls which had become scuffed and dirty. Sherwin-Williams has mixed custom colors specifically for the Girl Scouts, and we applied those as instructed. All the merchandise, shelving and displays had been protected by us, and it was business as usual the next morning in a wonderful, clean, freshly painted store.
