NYC Millwork Painter

New owners of a luxury penthouse in Midtown East Manhattan recognized and appreciated the quality elements in wood paneling and wood floors, but envisioned a lighter, brighter home without wallpaper, medium wood tones on the walls and bookcases and dark wood floors. Thus, we stepped in to remove wallpaper, patch walls, sand, sand and sand some more before spray painting the fine millwork and refinishing the floors. We primed this gorgeous woodwork with many coats, sanding in between for the most smooth, lustrous finish.

Farrow & Ball is a British manufacturer of fine paints which reflect historic color palettes, or in their version of English, “colour” palettes. Their New White paint is named for it being more warm than classic whites for its yellow base. It can take on creamy, chamois, ivory and sheep’s wool tones, reflecting light and creating an alluring interior environment. Spray painting such a luxury residence is not for the faint of heart or inexperienced paint contractor. The desired result comes only from extensive involvement in superior painting projects with the best equipment and most highly skilled tradesmen. Refinishing the floors to a lighter wood also revitalized the interior atmosphere. This is now a more striking 21st century penthouse where light plays off the walls, and an unrivaled warmth envelops the new residents.

The contemporary real estate firm’s innovative program foots the bill for painting, upgrades, staging and repairs before listing, providing the seller with both a selling time and final price advantage. The property owner reimburses the costs to Compass when the property sells, the contract ends or 12 months later. No interest, folks.

Brooklyn Painting and Floor Refinishing

Dumbo or DUMBO shares recognition with a movie, a baby elephant with oversized ears and the Brooklyn, N.Y., neighborhood situated Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass. This living room is a stunning example of sophistication with a splash of retro decor after we sanded and applied Bona's High Traffic Clear Polyurethane to restore and preserve these awesome Brazilian cherry floors. The kitchen has gone from dull and drab to delightfully dazzling in its new coat of Benjamin Moore's Simply White in semi-gloss - a little sheen that's easy to clean. The residents can enjoy shuffling across the richly-grained, refinished wood floor in their sock feet, and everyone looks and cooks a little better in a bright, white kitchen. They are loving it all.

Yorkville Manhattan Skim Coating, Carpentry, and Painting

When this client contacted us they just purchased beautiful apartment in the Upper East Side. They were moving back into Manhattan after spending a few years in Nassau County. They were excited to be back in the Big City and looking to create an apartment that matched this excitement. The apartment needed a lot of work. Luckily the owners has an amazing eye for detail and design and was not afraid to go bold. The crowning touch was his choice of black for new crown molding and the ceiling. Talk about interior elegance! Black has always been associated with strength and power with splashes of mystique and rebellion.

The vacant rectangular room had an awesome rustic clay brick floor-to-ceiling wall and fireplace, dull floors, 2 vertical windows and common white walls in need of a good paint job. The ceiling met the wall in undecorated 90-degree angles. Embedding crown molding into this unadorned space instantly enhanced the room. Sanding and refinishing the floors brought luster and sheen back to them. We then skim coated the walls for an even texture and to make it possible to install crown molding. Once the crown molding was installed we moved to painting. We expertly painted both the ceiling and the new crown molding in jet black. Adding gold drapes and a charcoal gray sofa created a uniquely gracious space which evokes a cozy tranquility amidst the dazzling excitement of city life. We were thrilled to participate in this transformation that embraces the natural world in wood and brick and refined lifestyle statement of exquisite black, pristine white and regal gold

Battery Park Condo Painter

Before this homeowner listed her home for sell she wanted to freshen up the place for prospective buyers. We started by removing all the wallpaper in this Downtown Manhattan condo. Once that was done we cleaned off the glue residue, primed and painted the whole place. We then refinished the flooring to really make the place sparkle. Refinishing the hardwood floor was the final step to making this apartment ready to fetch a higher price tag. With the big windows and the fresh paint the place feels bigger.
