 New owners of a luxury penthouse in Midtown East Manhattan recognized and appreciated the quality elements in wood paneling and wood floors, but envisioned a lighter, brighter home without wallpaper, medium wood tones on the walls and bookcases and dark wood floors. Thus, we stepped in to remove wallpaper, patch walls, sand, sand and sand some more before spray painting the fine millwork and refinishing the floors. We primed this gorgeous woodwork with many coats, sanding in between for the most smooth, lustrous finish.

 Farrow & Ball is a British manufacturer of fine paints which reflect historic color palettes, or in their version of English, “colour” palettes. Their New White paint is named for it being more warm than classic whites for its yellow base. It can take on creamy, chamois, ivory and sheep’s wool tones, reflecting light and creating an alluring interior environment. Spray painting such a luxury residence is not for the faint of heart or inexperienced paint contractor.
