Interior Shop Painting in NYC

“Every bottle’s got a story here” at Pour Wines. On the corner of W. 75th Street and Amsterdam Avenue in Manhattan’s Upper West Side, the business is approaching 15 years of its value-driven, intuitive wine mission. The knowledgeable staff curates small production, hand-crafted wines and spirits and understands making wine selection easy and enjoyable ~ and affordable. In its ongoing efforts to maintain a radiant, winsome atmosphere for the casual browser and buyer, they called us to brighten up their space. Overnight, by the way.

With no disruption to customers or employees, our Paintworks team landed after store closing. We began right away protecting all the displays and especially all those bottles, every one of which pairs eloquently with some kind of delicious food offering. And just as many make a wonderful, stand-alone glass. But, this is about paint, not wine, and we confidently believe every paint can has a story, too. We love their color selection, and when the job was done before next day’s opening, we packed up, knowing full well it was too early for wine, so we all admired the fresh paint and inviting, attractive Pour Wines shop.

Spraying Whole Foods Entrance Doors

The front door of any business can craft first and repeat impressions in the minds of consumers, and Whole Foods called us in to refresh their entrance with cleaning and painting. Our first order of business was to clean the metal door frame with denatured alcohol so the primer would adhere properly. We taped and protected everything not to be painted, precisely matched their color and sprayed with electrostatic paint after hours so business was not disrupted. Now customers step through clean, painted doors into Whole Foods, whose stated purpose is “to nourish people and the planet. Quality is a state of mind at Whole Foods Market.”

Painting the Girl Scouts Retail Store

For more than 100 years, the Girl Scouts have been inspiring girls to advance skills and reach for the stars. Their cookies are an American icon, and their NYC store carries sashes, uniforms, clothing, fun badges and all kinds of cool merchandise. So not to interrupt any business hours, our Paintworks crew worked overnight scraping and plastering damaged walls and refreshing white walls which had become scuffed and dirty. Sherwin-Williams has mixed custom colors specifically for the Girl Scouts, and we applied those as instructed. All the merchandise, shelving and displays had been protected by us, and it was business as usual the next morning in a wonderful, clean, freshly painted store.

SoHo Retail Repair and Painting

At the age of 24, Giuseppe Marenzi was inspired by his military experience and knowledge of raincoats, geography and climate to develop a high quality functional coat. With his wife, Alessandra Diana, he started a little company whose name Herno has evolved into the hallmark of Italian luxury outerwear around the world.

When the Herno flagship store in SoHo encountered water damage, Paintworks & Decorating was called in to repair and paint walls and restore its glamorous interior. We are as passionate about superior painting quality as Herno is about its superior jacket quality. We used a stain-killing primer and painted overnight so retail hours would not be disrupted, cautiously covering and protecting the entire space. We worked carefully and intensively, departing soon after sunrise, and Herno was back in business for its 11 a.m. opening.
