Painting Storefront for Conan O’Brien New Season Launch Marketing

Talk about springing into action on short notice with a whisker of temperature variance and a very tight deadline - those were the parameters that Paintworks recently dealt with for an exterior retail store paint job for a nationally syndicated television show. Factor in going from a dark color, black in his case, to a lighter color, orange, and the challenges before us were embraced with confidence and courage. We had 24 hours to begin and end the job and were incredibly thankful that temps hovered ever so slightly above 35 degrees so the exterior paint could bond properly.

We were stoked for the opportunity and worked practically around the clock with Benjamin Moore's Aura Exterior Paint. Among its advantages is the low temperature application possibility, along with exceptional color results with Color Lock® technology, superior adhesion properties, fast dry and re-coat times and self-priming capability. We worked diligently and attentively across three coats to get the desired cover-up of the black and strong presence of the orange. Then we stood back, admired our work and went for donuts.

Repainting A Fine Art Gallery In Chelsea

A few months ago we had the opportunity to help Tyler Rollins Fine Art transition back to white for their new exhibition. A dark brown to Benjamin Moore Super White. Three coats later and the gallery looks completely different. Check out their website and in person on west 20th street for incredible one of a kind contemporary art. Always grateful to paint commercial spaces in the beautiful Chelsea neighborhood.

NYC Acoustic Ceiling Tile Painter

Moving in any capacity can be a daunting task. This company was making a major move into a new office in Long Island City and was looking to refresh it before finishing their move. Using high traffic paint we painted all walls and hallways, using the trim as a nice accent. The trim matches one of the company’s logo colors further deepening their branding. One of the dingiest looking parts of the new office was the acoustic ceiling tiles. It was clear that this office hadn’t been painted in about 20 years. The pictures below show the before and after of the acoustic tiles. We sprayed the acoustic ceiling tiles with flat ceiling white to make them look new again. Painting acoustic ceiling tiles is a quick and affordable way to make a large ceiling look new again. We had a great experience painting this Long Island City office and love commercial painting projects where we get to help local businesses that are just like us.

Painting Exterior Metal Structures at Pier 17 at South Seaport

The South Seaport is a historic and legendary area that was damaged by Hurricane Sandy but has since returned to its former glory. Pier 17 is back to being a hot spot with a gorgeous rooftop deck complete with views of the Brooklyn Bridge and a large stage for concerts. The two metal structures that provide shade and a mingling area were already getting severe sun damage. Paintworks & Decorating was brought in to repaint the structures back to white with a UV resistant industrial coating. The work had to be done efficiently and effectively as the coating product has a very short timeframe to be applied. With our foreman's expertise the project was carried out without any hiccups. All handrails and exposed metal had to painted up to a certain height. We even painted the back of the exit signs to make everything look uniform.  As local NYC steel painters it was quite the honor to paint on the rooftop of this Manhattan landmark. We look forward to painting more steel structures in the future.
