We were thrilled to paint this shop in West Village for its opening. Beginning with removing old shelves and prepping walls, we then patched whatever needed attention. Chantilly Lace paint color exudes an elegance against which to showcase the plants, and Windsor Green is the ideal shade for the bathroom and entrance door. You may not notice our fine painting for being totally distracted with all the plants and accessories, which is part of the plan here. Of all the perks and bennies a company may offer its staff, a neat, clean, freshly painted, bright work space practically tops the charts. Study after study reveals that employees enjoy enhanced concentration and productivity in comfortable work quarters. The company which contacted us was moving its offices to another address and wanted it to be really nice for the move-in. The timing was short. The need was now. The job was big - like eight conference rooms plus office space.

It was a tight squeeze on the clock, but we pulled together the team, and they pulled together the gear, supplies, equipment, paints, ladders, brushes, rollers, drop cloths and more. In reality, we fit right in as the Flatiron District is a commercial version of life in the fast lane. Anchored by Union Square and known for its food, art, drink and the original Shake Shack, Flatiron does not slow down much even on weekends. It emits an energetic vibe and a zest for work life and home life among its high rises, parks and diversified activities and performances.

Refreshing Home Interior with New Paint

 After half a decade in their home, this couple was ready for refreshing their interior with a lovely, neutral, gentle gray throughout living spaces and the kitchen area. Soft pewter evokes safety with touch of class and leaves the excitement level wide open for the decorative accents and textiles to make a splash. The fun part of bathrooms is being bold, and this Newburyport Blue HC-155 is part of the Historic Color Collection in Benjamin Moore’s paint line. NYC Window Mullion Painting

A mullion is that bar which separates window panes vertically. It provides a strong reinforcement piece for the glass primarily, but may also lend structural support to the arch or lintel above the window. In general, a horizontal piece between glass panes is a transom or head jamb, and can be called a horizontal mullion for clarity. Some mullions, vertical or horizontal, are purely decorative and placed inside on the glass for the appearance of window panes. These homeowners in Manhattan remodeled their entire place, and the architect in charge of the project called us to spray the mullions and frames.

 These windows showcase city life as well as a peaceful outdoor balcony with a charming plant space along the far patio wall. We were excited to get to work, visualizing how white trim would brighten the interior spaces and soften the view frame from inside. Since we would be priming and spray painting, masking and protecting everywhere was imperative. Our team is meticulous in their prep, and each one is experienced in using spray equipment. It’s not as easy as it looks, but to the trained professional painter, it’s somewhat fun in an instant gratification kind of way. Everyone was very pleased with the result of our cleaning, priming and painting the mullions and the frames, while protecting everything else.

Washington Square Park enjoys a dramatic, storied history across five centuries. Once residential neighborhoods were constructed on three sides of the relatively small, but highly prized, 10-acre park, people from all walks of life craved living here. Less than a decade ago, park renovation included a new playground, small dog run, chess plaza, landscaping upgrades, new benches and lighting and repaved pathways. One couple contacted us for an entire condo painting assignment before merging their lives into the space.

 The duplex interior sports a contemporary industrial feel, tempered with warm dark floors and newly painted, crisp white trim and walls. Of the updates to a living space, new paint trumps them all for the volume of surface it embraces and the mood it can project. Painting these walls came easy enough, with our constant attention to detail, but tackling the very tall stairwell was a bit more tricky. We were able to professionally finish everything, no matter the height, width or adjacent trim, windows, doors and floors. And now, there are two more satisfied Paintworks customers in the Big Apple, settling into their freshly painted abode.
