After painting

Just 2 years after we painted for this nice family, they moved to a beautiful, larger house in the gorgeous town of Scarsdale. The interior has lots of finely-detailed, very dark woodwork which the family wanted to brighten up for a more contemporary feel. We started by carefully covering the floors with strong brown paper to protect them from dust, debris, primer, paint and footprints. Our team sanded all the woodwork before applying 2 coats of primer. The two finish coats of Benjamin Moore’s Aura interior paint on the trim, walls and ceiling created an elegant dining room in which to showcase their style. Industrial warehouses often need to be as clean and orderly as offices and other kinds of work spaces, preserving the contents and improving employee morale. This commercial client rented space which had not been cleaned, painted or maintained for a decade or so. We replaced bulging walls with new sheetrock, taping, plastering and priming it before painting the whole 10,000-square-foot interior. It took us just a few days, ceiling included, and the satisfied customer is now ready to make use of their freshly repaired and painted warehouse.

Protecting all surfaces, furnishings and the floor was the first order of business. We needed extra ladder extensions and double the normal height of scaffolding to reach up to 22-foot ceilings. We installed new baseboards and skillfully painted the walls a lighter color. The "Never Artificial, Never Processed, Always Organic" mission at Dr Smood carries on in its brighter, professionally painted cafe interior.
