In effort to sell this property in a timely fashion Halstead Realty and the owners decided to freshen up the place with a paint job so the property would show better. The NYC apartment hadn’t been painted in over 20 years and it showed. One day of intense plastering and painting got the condo back to near mint condition. The client chose Benjamin Moore Decorator’s White which works perfectly with the condo’s large living room windows. We always use Benjamin Moore Aura Bath and Spa in the bathroom to help protect the walls and ceiling from heat and humidity. Battery Park Condo Painter

Before this homeowner listed her home for sell she wanted to freshen up the place for prospective buyers. We started by removing all the wallpaper in this Downtown Manhattan condo. Once that was done we cleaned off the glue residue, primed and painted the whole place. We then refinished the flooring to really make the place sparkle. Refinishing the hardwood floor was the final step to making this apartment ready to fetch a higher price tag. With the big windows and the fresh paint the place feels bigger.

Long Island City Commercial Painting for Christie’s

When the legendary auction house Christie’s was looking for a painter last minute we were happy to help. They had an antique housewares auction the following day and wanted to put the pieces in front of a glossy black wall. The picture above shows how the pieces really pop in front of the wall. The walls were actually movable walls to make their photography shoots easier. The finish product looks classy and refined just like the Christie’s brand. It was exciting to be in their Long Island City warehouse full of valuable artifacts from around the world. Always grateful to be a go-to commercial painter in the Long Island City NYC area.

Plastering and Painting To Revive A Home In Manhattan

When this client called us her apartment was in bad shape. After not painting or repairing the plaster in her home for over 40 years everything started to fail. Paint was falling from everywhere. Adding to the situation was water damage from the apartment above. We spent multiple days scraping and carefully disposing off all the failing paint and plaster. We were surprised to discover wallpaper underneath the paint (seen in the 2nd picture below). The client didn’t know there was wallpaper there! We then spent multiple days priming and plastering the entire apartment to return it to it’s former glory. You can see the dramatic transformation, especially in the bathroom picture below. These pictures were taken at the 70% mark of the project. While we always recommend addressing paint issues as they arise, it is never too late to save your home.
